Confusing

Hello all,

So there is an update. I have been having
Tair (Montelukast) 10mg anti allergy for roughly 19 days and it has been the only thing that so far has cut out the allergic eruptions on my skin.
From time to time an eruption occurs but maybe 10% of what it was on my upper left arm. And I still put Clobevate so I apply that on it and it goes down.

But by and large the Tair has helped me.

However, I have 3 questions:

1. Do you think I should stop having the Tair anti allergy as I have been having it for three weeks. I am kinda apprehensive as I feel the moment I stop it all of it will come back to me on that scale as before. And then I will probably have to go to hospital for a steriod shot or prescriptions as I do not know what the next step would be apart from that.

2. I need to have a 100 mg Vitamin B shot . Should I GO ahead and have it or will it trigger my already jumpy immune system into more rashes? I can hold off having the injection for another month or month and a half if you think that will help.

3. How long in general do exzema or skin allergies last as my eruption has lasted roughly 2 months.

p.s. my skin is very very dry still.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I am tired of seeing people around me so worried. As even if I DO not tell them what is happening they can see it.

Thanks all.

p.s. I had posted this on my own thread but got no response so I thought it should get a thread of its own.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.
This allergy has left my skin more dry than it ever used to be. In fact I spend a considerable amount of money on heavy duty creams to apply to alleviate the dry skin but every night it is the same.
I was just wondering if this would be a rest of my life thing. Like is the allergy still present in me which is why my skin is so dry.

Secondly. I am urinating alot. Like a hell of alot ever since the allergy struck me. Like 200% more than before. So is this the allergy ?

Thirdly I was wondering if the Vitamin B shot 1000mcg will interact with my allergy not the montelukast.

Thanks

Hi, its unlikely that Montelukast will interact with vitamin B. You can go ahead and have your shot. Episodes of eczema show a waxing and waning phenomenon and its difficult to predict the outcomes. As long as the allergic trigger is there you are likely to have symptoms. Therapy with Montelukast is long term, you will have to discuss with your treating doctor for duration of therapy. Regards.
