Constant ringing in ears

I have a constant ringing in my ears for the past few months. The volume and intensity fluctuates a great deal from jet engine loud to low level pulsing and has been getting progressively worse . On a scale from 1-10 is can fluctuate between 3 and 9.5. It is usually loudest when I wake in the morning. It pulses with my heartbeat. It is also very dynamic where any movement at all will cause a fluctuation (running, walking, riding in the car, chewing) especially when I move my jaw forward or backward (forward makes it much louder and back decreases the volume). When I press on the side of my nose (at the base) it gets louder or if I press a finger to the roof of my mouth it will get louder (while I am pressing). No other pressing in the face changes the volume. I have been to an ENT and he said I have polyps (took steroids and antibiotics with no affect) but he is unsure whether this is the cause. He also said I have high frequency hearing loss but also is unsure if this is the cause or the effect of my condition. I have had significant sinusitis my entire life so I believe it may be related in some way. He suggested I see an allergist. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard that It could be your blood pressure being to high is what causes that, you may need to take 2 aspirin a day. I would also recommend that you go to the doctor to get yourself check out.. Better be safe then sorry.

Hello there,

May I suggest you make an appointment with your family doctor asap.
This ringing may or may not be related to the sinusitis. I would get this
checked out especially as the ringing has been going on as you say
for the past few months. Good luck.  Eve
