Could this be an allergy?

I go through periods where I am light-headed/fuzzy and have some tingling in my feet and lower legs, with no energy at all.  I don't have any classic allergy symptoms like watery eyes or sinus trouble.  The symptoms also seemed to go away over the cold months.  I went to a doc last fall about them and had a CT scan and x-rays done on my back, since I had trouble there before, but that didn't reveal anything.  Just wondering if I should look into the allergy possibility.

Sorry, and I also sometimes see stars or glitter spots when I bend over quick or playing with kids and come back to standing.

Also, when I do things like bending down or squatting, washing the car, etc., it's really prevalent when I come back to standing, it feels like a lightheaded rush.  Have an appointment next week.

My doc did a thorough check on all levels and everything came back in the ok range, she said.  She did a thorough check because my dad has multiple myeloma.

Could any of this be related to being out of shape or unhealthy diet?  I had lost close to 30 lbs and put most of it back on.  The symptoms also seemed to wane while I was eating healthier and had lost weight.

Hi, it is very important to rule out the cause of lightheadedness, the common causes are electrolyte imbalance, low blood sugar, low blood pressure. Other causes are epilepsy, organic brain disease, stress etc. which should be ruled out by MRI brain, EEG, blood electrolytes, blood sugar and monitoring of blood pressure and it needs to be corrected.

Tingling sensations are result of conditions that affect the nerves and/or blood vessels that supply area.  The causes are vitamin B12, B1 and B6 deficiency, nerve injury, diabetic neuropathy, cervical sponylosis, frostbite, peripheral vascular disease etc.  For confirmation you can check your sugar level. You may have to take vitamin B-complex supplements.

Gynecological causes needed to be ruled out are pelvic inflammatory disease, structural changes like fibroid uterus, infection, cyst, etc.   I suggest you to consult physician. Take care and regards.
