Dizzy, Blurred Vision, Sinus pain, anxiety returns, hot flashes

I am thrilled I found this forum! I have experienced all of the same symptoms that have been posted.  I've always had some discomfort during the spring and fall with what I'm assuming is pollen and ragweed (altho I've never yet been to an allergist)...just thought it was something I had to live with.  But this past spring when the pollen count hit 30,000 I had no idea what was about to develop starting in April. Severe pressure in all the sinus cavities, a fuzziness feeling like something was growing, difficulty in focusing at work...could hardly wait to get home and lay down. On days off I would sleep all day sometimes. Dizziness brought on small anxiety attacks, hot flashes as if I was going thru menopause again. Blurry vision at times, to the point I went to the eye doctor thinking I needed a new prescription. Made an appointment with my Dr. and had a full physical. Everything checked out fine.  Made myself an appointment with an ENT...what a joke that was. Looked in my ears and nose, sent me to an audiologist for a hearing test, gave me some samples to try and pretty much shooed me out the door. I was so dizzy and out of focus, I forgot to insist on a sinus scan...but just as well, I wasn't too impressed with the doc. Made an appointment with an allergist, but had to cancel. In the beginning I went to an urgent care because I was sure I had a severe sinus infection, and she gave me a steroid shot....whoaaaaa....I felt fantastic for about 24 hrs...then it all came back.  The antibiotics did nothing, but I think now I have a vaginal yeast infection from taking them.  I am especially interested in the posts relating to "yeast" being the cause.  I purposely fasted for the last 24 hrs. and was feeling about 80% better.  I made a sandwich, ate a few potatoe chips, and 2 bites of a brownie with icing.  Within 30 minutes I started feeling like crap.....so in my mind...the bread and the sugar in the brownie might have had something to do with it.  I want to find out more about this yeast kill off.  I was taking a daily vitamin, fish oil, probiotics, vitamin D-3 2000 units, and calcium.  I stopped when all this started wondering if one of those was the culprit...(they all have fillers, altho I don't know what the fillers are). I am rarely ill with anything, and am going nuts being homebound because I don' feel well. Everything is suffering because of it, including holding my newest grandson for fear I will drop him. My daughter's best friend when in her 20's had all these same symptoms..went to specialist after specialist, and her dentist was the one that discovered the yeast.  Is there a specialist that knows how to treat this....or is this something I go to the book store and figure out on my own? I do not want to spend anymore time visiting a doctor for 15 minutes only to have samples of allergy meds handed to me.

Hi, yeast infection usually present with soreness of vagina and sometimes with white discharge and condition is known as candidial vulvovginitis. Candida is yeast which is responsible for this. Antifungals should not be started unless confirmed by vaginal swab for KOH preparation and microscopy which will show the candidial growth. This usually occurs in immunocompromised condition. Topical cream and oral azoles are the antibiotic preparations available for the treatment against prescription from gynecologist.
As for allergy is concerned you need to rule out the allergen by yourself or with the help of skin allergy testing. Drugs like amoxicillin, certain painkillers, certain garments, environmental allergen and certain food (fish, mushroom, peanuts, soy etc) are known to cause such reactions.
You need to keep track of things (maintain a diary) you were exposed to such as food, cloths, drugs etc. and you should avoid further exposure.
Drugs like anti-histaminics and corticosteroids are used as standard mode of treatment which should be taken after consultation from physician or hospital in case of suspected allergy. Take care and regards.

You should get in to see a dr for a full evaluation.  There are many things that could be going on and only a dr can determine what it is exactly.
