Hello,
After EBV infection, the virus remains dormant or latent in a few cells in the throat and blood for the rest of the person's life.It may cause fungal infections like yeast or candida to multiply in the human body by effecting immunity thus causing vaginal symptoms. But you can’t blame EBV alone for this.
Vaginal yeast infections occur when new yeast is introduced into the vaginal area by sexual contact, or when there is an increase in the quantity of yeast already present in the vagina relative to the quantity of normal bacteria. This increase occurs in immunocompromised states and with use of antibiotics, oral contraceptives and steroids.
Candida is diagnosed by vaginal or cervical swabs and their microscopic and culture examination. The results are not obtained immediately and need at least 1day(microscopic examination) to 3-4 days(for culture).
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Do you have EBV and if so, what are your symptoms and how long have you been ill ?
To answer your question, I only can tell you that many people who have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome often get allergies and often have an intolerance to gluten.
