That's what I though. Yes i love nuts and they make a nice healthy snack:) Ooh wow!! I did I know that's why they stopped giving out peanuts on the Airplane. Thanks for the info.
Not here to argue with your doctor who ran the tests, but you sound more like a minor rather than "highly" allergic. Still if your tongue itch why take a chance. I enjoy nuts, and I think most of then are healthy food if we don't have an allergy. Some have very serious allergies to nuts, so much so that the old "free bag of peanuts" that airlines used to hand out with a beverage during a flight was stopped, stopped long before airlines quit giving "stuff" out free.
I've never had reactions to the things the told me I'm highly allergic to. I went to an Allergy Asthma Dr she stuck me with nuts n told me I'm highly allergic to all nuts! I ate nuts b4 I found out and continued after finding out n still nothing major has happened. I was just wondering of I really should stop? If its hurting me and I can't tell, cuz I only experience little itchyness on my tongue.
I believe allergies are all about how much our environment (including food) affect us, in all ways from skin and hair to our organs - it generally has noticeable symptoms.
Not an expert, but I believe symptoms are how doctors diagnose allergies. That is give you "some" and look for reactions/symptoms. If you find you no longer have these reactions, then it seems you are no longer allergic.
Of course if your reactions/symptoms are something you can not see/feel then check with your doctor - better follow the medical advice you have.
