Unpleasant Burning Smell

Last Sunday(27.03.16) night on wards I am getting a unpleasant smell of Kerosene burning continually not continuously

I think I am getting the odor from both nostrils. While sleeping time I don't have any problem and it will start after had the bath in the morning. It is not continuous but coming in regular intervals. Some time I will not think of it some time I am getting worse.

Here I like to share my past history.
I am male, age 63 having panic disorder and missing pulses. For that I am advised to take from the beginning Clonazepam.IP - 2 Mgm & Concor - 2.5 Mgm only bed time. Nearly 8 years I am taking and from the last one year I reduced the Clonazepam to1 Mgm since I don't getting any panic disorder and my pulse rate also become normal.

In the mean time If I am getting any sudden panic attack (disorder) I advised to take Clonazepam MD .5 mgm for an emergency. That also Now a days I am taking very rarely and almost stopped. But Concor I am taking regularly in bed time as per the GP

Second thing after retired I am not going any work and I started looking after the garden cleaning, fertilizing and apply insecticides occasionally. But daily watering the plants and cleaning the garden and disposing the waste by fire. alternative days.

I have no Sugar, No BP, No Cholesterol or any other diseases. Having robust health and I am doing fine with some Yoga for sleeping(Daily before go to bed) and some exercises like walk for an hour three days in a week.

I have neck bone erosion (Spontaneous) but not severely. It means I don't have any serious issues so far.

After started the gardening work I got the sinusitis last 3 years and it also will come & go depend on the climate change.

For that I am using some nasal spray whenever I am having the sinusitis little severe.

Thats all.

All those issues I tolerated and I am not taking anything serious and I am not suffering high.

But the smelling issue is some thing spoil my mood and the whole week.

I went to the ENT specialist in our area advised and gave me some medicines to take day & night for 10 days and after that if not reduced or cured I have to take a nasal scan it seems.

Here I request and want to know any advises or any natural treatment available or I have to follow the ENT advice?

Thanks & Regards

These are called phantom smells. Many of us get them. I generally smell either dust or smoke from a fire. Each episode lasts from a day to three months. During my last bout, I smelled fire smoke...this went on for almost 4 months! I could barely sleep...I kept thinking that my house was on fire.
They claim this is caused by a previous sinus infection ( at any time in your life) but they are not positive.
Some medications ( such as antibiotics) can cause strange tastes and smells as well.
I do not know of any treatment for it. My ENT has never said a word about it.
