Insect bite

I always have a bad reaction to insect bites or stings with really bad swelling. Normally necessitates application of loads of antihistamine cream, taking maximum dose Piriton tablets for days, then a course of strong antibiotics.  If I'm in a situation where I know there is the risk of being bitten, is there any advantage in taking Piriton tablets in advance - along with using insect repellent?

All the pills for curing insect bites (especially antibiotics) should be taken only if a doctor prescribed it to you. Self-treatment with Piriton and other remedies like it can cause unpleasant consequences. As for the repellents, it's always better to use natural ones instead of chemical.
