Is This Allergies??????????????

the left side of my head pounds and my left or right nostril is stuffy but not runny. I don't have any sneezing going on though. I have a horrible headache that makes me throw up and sensitive to light. My question is this allergies or is this a migrane?? I thought it was a migrane but the stuffiness in my sinuses makes me think it may be allergies?? Thanks!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The one sided facial pain could be due to sinusitis, as it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and sometimes a post nasal drip. It could also be due to tooth infections, impacted tooth or skin infections. The others are migrainous headaches and those caused due to brain disorders, disorders of the eyes , neck or ears to name a few. To find a cure you need to consult your primary care physician for proper assessment. In the meantime take OTC naproxen for relief from pain. Regards.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Do you have any mold in your home?
Black mold can cause serious side effects.

Dust mites come to mind as well.

It could be all of the above. Some people develop migraines due to allergies.

You would be well off seeing your doctor if this continues. Migraines generally go away after 6 - 48 hours....they don't " normally " continue for days.

If it's migraines due to allergies you would want to seek help before your life turns upside down.

In the meantime, try using a nasal rinse such as neti-pot. This will help the stuffiness. An antihistamine could help as well.
