I have used the same fragrance free dye free detergent for a while, so i can try switching. Funny thing is i use the washers in the complex for all our clothes, and generally keep mine andmy husband's things in separate machines, but HIS clothes feel much better! After washing again with vinegar it still feels like tiny crystalline shards are in the fabric that work their way inti my skin. They even spread to the clothes I was wearing as I folded the laundry, and now won't come out of THAT clothing. What a dreadful mystery!! Thank you both so much for your suggestions, though!
Hello and hope you are doing well.
We can develop allergies to different things throughout our lifetimes as the allergy develops in response to a repeated stimulus. Therapy lies in identifying the allergens and avoiding them and anti histamines. If the present anti histamines are not very effective you can consult your doctor for long acting ones.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
It IS possible to develop allergies to things over time. Other than that, it seems as if you've washed things a couple more time without that detergent so it might not be true in this case. I would recommend having the repair person come look in all the little areas you may not be able to get to. In the meantime, I would buy some cheap clothes (it is summer, after all!) and try washing your clothes at a laundromat. Hope this helps!
