Itchy red spots

Yesterday, my lower left breast and top part of my rib section were itching like crazy. I looked and found a few red spots, only one spot was raised and especially itchy, it looked like a bite of some sort. Today, the spots have spread everywhere, all over my stomach, back, legs, I think even on my ear. The red spots are still pretty much flat with the exception to a few that are raised and more itchy than the others. Also, I took an antihistamine and put some hydrocortisone on most of the areas, but my lips and tongue have started to feel mildly numb. Is this hives? I recently started taking some meds my dermatologist prescribed, but I've taken them before without problems.

Hi,

I think you should consult a dermatologist at the earliest.

It would be advisable to get a proper clinical evaluation done for a confirmed diagnosis.

You could see if antihistaminic medications or antiallergic medications help.

Even local application of calamine lotion should help.

Do let us know what your doctor advises.

Hope this helps.
Good luck.
