Low grade fever

I had a low grade fever for almost 8 days. My doctor prescribed amoxicyllin for ten days and Flonase as he suspected a sinus infection. I started my antibiotics three days ago but I still run low grade fever (around 100). Is that normal?

I have a similar problem with low grade fever, which used to occur for 6 years in spring and summer-time (April-August), but now I have it constantly for the last two years. Quite detailed blood tests seem fine apart from elevated IgE (1000), no visible signs of allergy, but I developed lately post nasal drip. Anyone heard what may cause such symptoms and how to cure them?
Thank you!

Hi, I had laproscopic surgery 3 weeks ago to which they were just too look around but ended up cutting a blanket of scar tissue over my entire mid-section. A month before that I felt so tired and had alot of lower ab pains. Also I ran a low grade fever for several weeks up until surgery 99.4 to 99.9, usually in the afternoon. I still had it even a few days after that.  I am not a person that generally runs fevers.  Also I have had Hodgkins lymphoma 15 years ago. I started running a fever again on and off ,low grade 99.4 is the highest so far within the last week.. I have also been getting headaches several times a week.  Again I go through spells to where I am just exhausted. I have no other symptons except for being tired and slightly fevered. What should I do?  I know I am still healing from the surgery, I still have pains in the lower ab area where my ovaries are which is one of the major complaints before surgery. The Dr. said they looked fine, but they don't feel fine.
Thanks,
Bee

It must be a viral fever. Please continue your current medications.

I was tested positive for allgeries (class 5) .I have exactly same symptoms like yours.I am on amoxicyllin for last 8 days now and also taking Flonase and singulair for asthma, I get 100-101 fever every evening. My CBC is normal and my doctor is not worried about my fever and thinks its because of sinus and allergies.

If you are still having a fever, I would consider calling your physician, as it appears that the antibiotic is not working. If you are congested, then you might want to try a product that helps me. It is called NeilMed Sinus Rinse. The product is inexpensive and available at most drug stores.
