Hi and welcome to the forum.
Try the following remedy:
- 3T warmed up water (not boiling)
-- 3T organic apple cider vinegar (unpasteurized)
- Pinch of REAL unprocessed natural sea-salt.
Mix real well for a couple minutes and put into a dropper.
Put a few drops in each nostril. When they reach your throat spit out.
Rinse well as the acidity of this solution will damage the enamel on your teeth.
Twice daily (morning and night).
I suggest also to ingest 1T of O.A.C.V. before each meal for sinus and mucus control.
Personally,I do this as well for digestive support and B.P. regulation.
There is an alkalizing effect also.
Check for allergies. Usually citrus fruits, dairy products and wheat are the ones that may contribute to excess mucus production.
For allergies you can do your own testing : Dr. Coca's Pulse Test - free download.
Takes a week to do but well worth it. It is accurate and one of the most practical diagnostic tools available for all 5 types of allergies and sensitivities.
Ear infections could also cause draining back into the throat. Make sure that you clear it.
Finally there may be digestive and G.I. issues for the extra mucus production.
Any mucus on your stools may indicate such a problem.
Offensive foods and drinks in relation to digestive problems will show on the Pulse Test.
Hope this helps.
Please post again with update or should you have any questions.
I will try to answer promptly.

Hi, welcome to the forum, there may be underlying bronchial asthma or chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis usually presents with sputum (mucus), esp. in early morning.
The other common possibilities are gastro esophageal reflex disease, hyperplastic tonsil, abnormal upper esophageal sphincter function, stress or psychological abnormality causes this sensation due to altered upper esophageal pressure. You may need to undergo endoscopic evaluation, chest radio graph etc.
Firstly I suggest you to consult physician for possible causes and further management. Take care and regards.
