NOT SURE WHAT TO ASK?

I HAVE NOTICED FOR SOMETIME NOW, THAT I GET KINDA SICK WHEN I EAT OR DRINK CERTAIN THINGS.  ANYTHING THAT IS PURPLE IN COLOR. GRAPE SODA, LOLLY POP, FRUIT LOOPS.  I GET SICK AT MY STOMACH AND THROW UP OR HAVE DIARRHEA.  I KNOW IT SOUNDS REALLY WEIRD.  I HAVE REALLY STARTED PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION.  I'M JUST WOUNDERING IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE AN ALLERGY TO THE DYE THEY USE TO MAKE THINKS PURPLE.  I KNOW THIS SOUNDS ABSURD.  I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANYTHING LIKE THIS.  HOW SHOULD I APPROACH THIS WITH MY DOC. AND WHAT KINDA OF TEST COULD THEY DO?  ANYTHING ANYONE COULD ADD WOULD BE GREAT.

Hi, you named , grape soda, lollipops, and fruitloops.  anything purple in color.  i noticed all the things listed also have white sugar.  Do you get sick when you eat eggplants or plums?  Also, do you get sick eating red lollipops?

I'm just trying to help you narrow the food down that makes you want to vomit.

I wonder if anyone does know if people can be allergic to the purple dye that is used in purple foods?  Thats a good question too.

Hi,

You could be having this due to some psychological component to the colour purple in food stuffs - not all food stuffs use dyes.

Do you have the same symptoms when you have natural foods that are purple in colour?

Since when have you noticed these symptoms? What is your age?

Are you allergic to any specific substances?

What symptoms do you have when you have the purple food stuffs?

Let us know about the above details so that we may be able to help you.

Regards.
