Hi Cammie51396,
I was just about to respond to your post. I glanced up and saw that you
posted your comments on Feb.24. , two months ago. I also read the other
2 replies from the other posters. I'm glad your son is okay. My husband
has a nephew who is highly allergic to nuts and he carried an epi pen
with him at all times. He's now in his twenties. Every case is different
though. But you can't be too careful when it comes to allergies. I wish you,
your son and the rest of your family the best. Be well. Eve
Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your reply! I finally got a hold of a doctor from our doctor's office and he had me watch him very carefully (which I was definitely already doing) and said we could take him to the ER or emergency clinic, but that since I thought he was acting normal we could also wait and watch him.
Yesterday he had another reaction, because apparently one of the blankets was contaminated while they were eating the cereal. I think everyone in the house is beginning to understand how important it is not to bring anything with nuts in!
I'm really hoping he outgrows it (and all his other allergies) too.
Thank you again for responding!
-Cammie
I just read your post, but I don't have the "right answer" so no loss by my late reply. I hope all is well by now.
It seem your son has an extreme sensitivity to nuts, hope he outgrows it, which I think is a possibility. In the mean time being an infant what he is exposed to can be tightly controlled. Good luck and hope the sisters now understand how careful they have to be.
Please let us know how he is doing today.
