PHLEGM

My 19yr. old daughter has cronic PHLEGM in the back of her throat and need to constantly clear her throat by hacking it up. It sometimes causes her throat to be soar if she hasn't been able to clear it or if it is stuck back there for a while. Do you know what this might be or can you suggest a type of specialist I should take her to?

I always had this as a child. As an adult, I attempted to fix it without drugs. I figured out that I had allergies to wheat, soy, and second hand cigarette smoke. When I cut these things out of my diet and environment, the phlegm vanished. Just an idea for you.
