Pain behind the eyes

I've never had allergies before until I moved to the South. When I noticed the green coating of Pollen on my car, I also noticed like a headache behind my eyes, and temple region. Could this be Allergies?

Thanks for your reply. I still do notice this a little, however, the pain seams to be subsiding, without treatment. The Pollen here in the VA area is almost gone, so I believe that may have been the cause of the inflammation.  Thanks again for your reply.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This headache can be due to tension headache or sinus headache. A tension headache generally produces a diffuse, usually mild to moderate pain over your head. Sinus headaches are caused by sinus congestion and inflammation (called sinusitis). The sinuses are air-filled spaces lined with mucous membranes surrounding the forehead, cheeks and eyes.Air borne allergens can cause this.

Apply alternate warm and cold compresses, elevate the head while sleeping and take some over the counter NSAID analgesic(pain reliever) like ibuprofen(advil/motrin) or acetaminophen.Application of muscle relaxant to the part is also helpful. If the symptoms persist then pls consult an ENT specialist and allergist and get sinus headache /allergies ruled out.

I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
