Pinguecula

I was told that a yellow bump on the white of my eye is being irritated by my  allergy to house pets. Is this true?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

A pinguecula is a common growth, which develops at the junction of the cornea with the conjunctiva, in response to eye irritation or sunlight exposure. It could have developed as a consequence to your allergic reactions. This usually does not need any therapy, unless it obstructs vision or for cosmetic reasons.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I once had what looked like a bubble on the white of my eye. Extremely annoying and I could move it. It was the result of an allergic reaction to a dog. I'm allergic to animals with fur and my guess is I got some dander in my eye. It took 2-3 days to go away.
