Pins and needle feeling in different areas of body

For the past couple of months, I have been experiencing feeling of pins and needles on different areas of body.  It does not feel like when your hand or leg falls asleep, but instead like someone taking a needle and just pinching you with it.  It can be in my arms, legs, stomach, hands, anywhere.  When it happens I feel like I need to scratch it or rub it.  I'm very concerned because I don't know if it is pinched nerves, allergy or something else.  It does not happen everyday but happening more and more.  Has anyone experienced anything like this?

A couple years ago I thought I was growing allergic to everything. The list was growing until even ketchup, salad dressing and anything acidic caused my throat to swell. I couldn't get any medical help so I went to the local Sprouts and was telling the lady who worked there and she knew exactly what my problem was. I needed probiotics. I suffered for over a year with extreme allergies and within one week of taking PB8 all my symptoms disappeared.

Anyone try Anti-histamines for a few days and see if they improve symtoms? Not a cure, but possibly might point to allergy or immune issues (interestingly enough, I've seen mentions of people treating some MS symptoms with antihistamines.

My issues probably started a decade ago and was so subtle that it only affected my sleep & digestion. About 9 months ago I got into bed and my left big toe exhibited a pinkie pain. Over several months this spread across both feet and throughout the day. I exercised more but it seemed to just get worse. Sleep started to fall off. Then one morning both had suddenly were hit with the pins. I immediately got a doc appointment-- peripheral neuropathy diagnosis (which isn't  worth much more than a gabbapentin script). A few days later, I experienced full body, deep itch attacks. As the itchiness fades it seems to last affect the hands and feet and manifest as pins/needles/stabbing. So, I think the itchiness and pins are the same symptom, just manifesting different because finer nerves in hands and feet. I also think this nerve activity leads to some muscle spasms. which are the end of any sleep you might hope to get.

I've had a couple blood tests.. the first had me a little high on bilirubin and a little low on b12. The most recent test came out as completely normal. I have a couple bulging discs (c5, c6) that couple explain hand issues but not the feet or full body symptoms. Oxygen: good. BP: good. Diabetes: negative.

The last 2 1/2 months have been hell. At best, a little sleep every other night (Sleep aid every other night, those are my better nights). I've found that lack of sleep leads to many other symptoms, including muscle tension in back, spinal pain, vision issues. Sleep is paramount-- without it, everything else seems to fall apart.

I never considered allergies because the sequence of symptoms-- the itchiness was last. But as I look back at the last year I have had some choking events which could be related to some subtle allergic response.

The last 4 nights have been better for me. Gabbapentin, Anti-histamines, and a Sleep Aid mean I get 4-6 hours of sleep, which is a heck of a lot better than what I was going through.

I'm trying to learn more about elevated Histamine response, and won't be surprised is this an allergy. Unfortunately, I could also be one of the autoimmune cousins to allergy, MS. Or possibly Lyme disease. I'll update as I learn more. Take care, everyone! Hang in there!

Request: It would be great to know if any long term factors apply to each of you. Smoking, drinking, time spent outside, work in construction, exposure to large power transmission lines, IBS, long winter exposure(you live north), allergy history, use of compression socks or pants, level of physical activity indoors and out, etc.
