Please answer...driving me nuts...

I've had an irritated throat since the end of March. Been to several doctors that say it looks like drainage, and gave me antibiotics for a possible sinus infection.  My throat has not been very sore, but the irritation includes a raw, bloody streak on the right side of the very back of my throat, with some dialated blood vessels on the left. Neg tests for strep, and nothing noticeably swollen. It has also made my right ear feel funny...but not horribly painful. ! of the 4 doctors sadi I had some pressure pushing out on my eardrum, but the rest say everything looks just fine..no wax.  Also had headaches.

In short...can allergies cause me to have these symptoms...and for this long?? Had it for almost 12 weeks, and nothing has worked. Never been persribed anything for allergies, so I just now started taking an old prescrip my wife had last year of Allegra. Anyone have any ideas?

I've been to an ENT, and he scoped my throat. Nothing that looks cancerous...but says I might have some slight damage to my vocal cords due to acid reflux,...he thinks.  Had a "lump" in throat feeling. Didn't give me any perscription whatsoever, said to give it a week, and he thinks it'd be fine. That was a month ago. Lump feeling left a couple of weeks ago. But irritation is still there, with raw spot, after 11 weeks.

I can't remember ever having acid reflux or gerd. Also had full blood work done twice, and it shows past exposure to MONO, (like 95% of people out there)...but no current mono infection. Cough drops seem to be the only things that soothes

Spent WAY too much money on doctors, and can't afford to go much more soon. So I'm looking sites like this. Also been having some body pains (left arm, sides, groin, and behidn right knee)... but nothing swollen, like lymph nodes or anything.

Continued advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Have you been sent to an ENT?  Also have you been tested for mononucleosis which can cause all of these symptoms?

Do you have acid reflux or GERD?

I have had sore throats that turned out to be acid burns from gastric reflux.  And, acid reflux will irritate your Eustachian tubes too, but I'm not sure if fluid will accumulate in it as a result.  I would go to an ear nose throat specialist [otorhinolayngologist] and see what they say.
