Probiotics

I recently took a dose of probiotic and experienced severe abdominal cramping, bloating and pain for over 6 hours and the next day I continued to have a burning pain in my back on the right side.  Based on this reaction should I continue to take the probiotic's?

Probiotics pause very few if any problems usually.
If you are on  immunosuppressant medication then you have to clear this with your Doctor as probiotics are not recommended in this case.
The symptoms you experienced may be:
a. unrelated to  the probiotic
b. part of the healing process.

Are you taking probiotics for a specific purpose/condition or for general gut heath support?

I don't know what probiotics you are taking. I take Culterelle which is just the organisms found in yoghurt. No problems at all.
