Hi,

I actually get that sometimes ... in my case I think it's sinus pressure causing it but not pain .. inmflammation around the eye.  But I'm not a doctor.  My Doctor suggested a decongestant which helps a lot as well as o-t-c antihistamine eye drops which used along with a preservative eye drop to add moisture back in helps a lot.

Maybe your doctor will let you try something like GenTeal eye drops to help moisturize them and see if that helps alone .. the decongestant can tend to dry eyes, too.
