Sinus problems

I have been in severe pain for almost a month now.  At first, I was treated for a sinus infection, but then after a CT Scan, they said my sinuses were clear, so now they suspect migraines.  I have received no relief with the use of any of the medications.  I still feel like all of the symptoms point to, at the least, inflammed sinuses.  I have severe pain in my eyes, forehead, checks and temples.  Can a CT scan miss inflammed sinuses.  I am desperate for some answers and some relief.

I have been suffering from excessive phlegm for nearly half a year now. I would have to cough and hock for nearly an 30 minutes after I ate. I felt like I did not want to eat any longer. I felt like I was chocking on phlegm that would never stop. I rarely got a nights rest and my body was exhausted and ached from coughing so hard and hocking up phelgm. Not to mention how embarrassing it was to eat in public. I was diagnosed with allergies, asthma, sinus infection, post nasal drip and acid reflex. I list some of the medicines I have been on (that did not work); sudafed, advair, claratin, clarinex, claratin D, robotusin (to thin the mucus)albuterol, nasacrom, nasacortAQ, beconase, singulair. I was beside myself. Then I saw where someone has posted that that had bought oil of oregano. I think despair brought me to research this product and then buy it. Here was my day; as usual I got up and coughed up mucus for about one hour. Took a shower and while I coughed up more mucus (now white and thinner) I dryed my hair for work and put on my makeup, while spitting out thinner white mucus.
I got in my car to go to work and it finally settled down. Then I ate a breakfast sandwich and coughed up more white, pasty mucus. I had had it. I pulled into a health food store and bought a bottle of oil of oregano ( you have to buy it at a health food store) As directed I put 2 drops under my tounge and within 5 minutes it was over. I have been fine for days.
I eat, sleep and get up like everyone else. If you have these symptoms please put "benefits of oil of oregano" in google or yahoo and read. Then try it. I was amazed. I felt like crying, after so many diagnoses and medications I was completely frusted and exhausted. I hope you will at least read about this product, it worked instantly....right there in the car.

Hi, I do know that certain foods do cause migraines to get worse, such as aged cheese, chocolate, coffee, some breads with gluten can cause problems, wheat flour, corn,
You might try eliminating these from the diet and then gradually adding them back  and see how you feel.   I do know from experience that a good fast can help and drinking fresh vegetable juice to cleanse the body.
If you are say 100 lbs you half it and drink 50 ounces of water. Drink plenty of water each day to clean your system. One should never under any circumstances drink DIET Pop or use artificial sugars.
I did find that getting a massage or going to the chiropractor did help my headaches. Stress plays an important part in anyone's life and i try to do everything the natural way, without meds.
I don't think i had migraines but i did have a problem in my 40's and i do not have the pain now in my 60's.
I have been eating more salads, but read your labels when it comes to salad dressing, i like to make my own, then i know it has no additives. I chop up parsley, garlic and use extra virgin olive oil.  Hope this helps you.   cora

Sounds like it's time to try another opinion. Perhaps contact a large teaching hospital in your area and get a referral from them?

Thanks for the comment, Phil.  I have already been on three different migraine medicines and nothing seems to be working. That is what they are treating it as now, but there is just no relief whatsoever.

MRIs are more sensitive than CT scans.  Migraines could be the culprit, maybe the doc can perscribe a migraine medication and you can see if that helps?
