Sinus
Has anyone else had just one sided face pain with sinuses? My right side of my face ,right eye,jaw cheek ear and neck are driving me crazy........ENT says i need surgery.Im so scared.Im also going off some anxniety meds and wondering if thats casuing it.........any ideas
I had just about the same symptoms all on my left side about a year ago. Did several rounds of prednisone and anti-biotics and finally had FESS - sinus surgery through an endoscope. It didn't hurt, I only took a week off from work (although I could have worked, I didn't feel bad at all). I guess there was some blockage and a cyst of some sort in my left cheek (maxillary) sinus. The surgery seems to have been successful, I have not had any severe problems for nearly a year now.
Your sinuses press directly on the eye socket, so, yes, your sinuses could be causing the eye pain.

How are you? How long have you been having these symptoms? Sinusitis is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, which may or may not be as a result of infection from bacterial, fungal, viral, allergic or even autoimmune. It can be acute (less than four weeks), subacute (4-12 weeks) or chronic (for 12 weeks or more). All three types of sinusitis have similar symptoms, and are thus often difficult to distinguish. This includes: nasal congestion, facial pain, headache, fever, general malaise; thick green or yellow discharge, blurred vision, feeling of facial 'fullness' (worsening on bending over) or even aching teeth. A relatively recent advance in the treatment of sinusitis is a type of surgery called FESS- functional endoscopic sinus surgery. This is where normal clearance from the sinuses is restored by removing the anatomical and pathological obstructive variations that cause sinusitis.
It would be best to visit your doctor for proper evaluation and management for the sinus pain as well as the anxiety.
