Skin rash after showering

After my husband showers under hot water he develops a rash on his neck which he treats with Vaseline moisturizer (he's doesn't really care about what he puts on as long as some kind of lotion is on it- typical guy) . I've noticed it stays dry, red and flaky. Any suggestions on any topical cream he can use? I'd appreciate some help! Thank you.

Hi,

You could use calamine lotion and take some OTC antihistamine or anti allergic medications and see if the lesions regress.

If the symptoms still persist , it would be ebst to consult your dermatologist and have him/her look at the lesions and advise further treatment accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
