Steven - Johnson Syndrome

I almost died from a drug allergy to Tegetol causing this syndrome. I am in need of anti inflamatory drugs but seem to be allergic to steroidal and non steroidal ones. What can I take for joint pain?

I have not heard of those drugs. The doctor is mostly concerned about steroids but I have had an allergic reaction to Tegretol, Clinoril, Dicloxacillin, Penicillian family, Valproic Acid, and Prednesone. My doctor knows all about this in fact he diagnosed the Stevens-Johnson when no one else realized why I was so sick.
Right now they are trying Naproxen for spinal and sacariliac problem. Constipation being a concern.(Lost a third of colon with the Stevens-Johnson). The Orthopedic says I had a severe trama to the back, but I can't remember any.
I will take your suggestios to the doctor for his opinion and thank you.

Hi,

What drugs are you allergic to specifically.

You should consult your doctor about this, and it would be advisable to take a dose under observation of a medical personnel.

Have you tried tramadol, piroxicam, etaracoxib, ketotifen, etc?

Let us know about what your doctor advises.

Regards
