Hi allegra_dl, I believe that Ms. Paderla is right. You might be suffering from allergic rhinitis and so as your mother and grandmother. This is a condition wherein sometimes people inherit the disease and may pass to other generations. This kind of allergy does not only concern weather changes but also other allergens like dust mites, pollens, etc.
well thank you but i am not for sure if you comprehend. it is hereditary my mom sneeze same way and so does my grandmother 5-10 times if not more in a roll. It doesn't matter what season it is i still sneeze multiple times in a roll. I was just curious about if sneezing effect the brain since i have heard if you hold in a sneeze it can kill brain cells.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Repeated sneezing episodes can cause muscle pain. Sneezing can trigger muscle spasms and aggravate pinched nerves, both of which may result in pain and discomfort. However it is unlikely to affect the brain. Your symptoms could be due to allergic rhinitis, here the symptoms are similar to a common cold, but they are usually more persistent and show seasonal variation. The individual responds to an allergen, which can be in many forms like dust and household mites. It appears that you are suffering from such a phenomenon.
You can tackle this problem in the following ways: Prevention and Therapy during attacks.
For prevention:Try to maintain an allergen-free environment. Substitute all synthetic and cool materials with cotton ones. Remove all dust-collecting household articles like carpets, bedspreads etc. Alternatively an allergy specialist may try to identify the offending allergen and try to desensitize you.
Using low dose steroidal nasal sprays, are very effective. The steroid in the spray is very low and acts only locally. Two puffs in each nostril two times a days for about a month. The effect starts only after 2 weeks of therapy.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
