Walking 14 Yearold that Sniffs none stop with stuffy nose

Im 14 years young and am having some really dang hard times. Ever since 5th grade ive developed a thing where I sniff with a stuff nose. This isnt a cold if ur thinking that its more serious. Ive used to many medications to even remeber there names. Its too difficult with me to handle im so sick of this im in 8th grade right now and still havent gotten rid of this sniffling problem. I concider this as Tourette's and am hating it. I cant go to movies without getting shushed. I had to to leave public school cuz I was being bullied and being called sniffles and all that. If anyone has lived with this please help me im tired of it. I just want to be normal and not a person who can wish that he can just be able to breayh normaly out of my nose. If you know how to help me please do so. If you need any further information about the specifications then just ask.

Sounds like sinusitis to me , maybe an infection it will be treatable I expect ask the Doc for a med he should be able to see if it is that .This year I have had similar and I sneeze a lot and I do know maybe an allergy med like Benydryl can be helpful, I can imagine the sniffing makes you feel uncomfortable ..Have a good blow now and again during the day, kind of clear the mucus out ..good luck

All of the above sadly. Ive had the skin allergy test and turn out to be allergic to pretty much my whole state I currently live in. My nose oftenly runs and it stops after awhile. Ive gone to practicly everyone that could help me with this. Just cant find correct help without a side effect on the medication im prescribed from the doctor im with. Im on these drops that take 4 years to take any effect on helping this problem. Its actually a "tic" said from all the doctors I have seen ocasionally called a "motar tic". Maby some of thid reply might give u any ideas.

Hello Colin,

Welcome to the allergy forum. I see you joined Med help in October.  Have you ever talked to your family doctor about your sniffling problem.  This is not Tourette's syndrome.  Tourette's syndrome is quite different and the symptoms are very different. If you haven't talked to your doctor about this issue, perhaps it is time to do so. I have not had this problem myself , but I have heard of other people who have this issue.  Sometimes it is just a habit. Have you ever considered that this sniffling could be due to an allergy. Have you ever had a skin allergy test ?  Do you have nasal discharge in other words does your nose run or would you say you feel like your nose is stuffed up ? You could be allergic to something and not even know it and this could be causing your sniffles. I hope something I have shared with you or suggested will be helpful for you.  I wish you well.  Eve
