Wasp Sting Trouble

Okay, so yesterday i got stung by a wasp. It barely even stung me. But this morning i woke up and it was swollen, red, hot to the touch, and was really hard. And it`s only getting bigger. Whats happening? What should i do? And the cream that my mom put on it makes it 2 times bigger.

PS:  If you dr. will allow it, an oral antihistamine may help better like Benadryl ??

Hi,

Wasps can be nasty.  You can have you Dr take a look.  I think that usually if it's in the same area that you were stung in (on the same limb) it's called a local reaction and can get quite big.  Eyes, mouth are exceptions I think.  Of course, do ask your Dr or make an appt as we are not medical professionals -- just a mom with mega experience with my daughters' allergies which include bee sting.

It is probably a delayed reaction since it's take overnight to develop.

Wasp stings can be nasty .. please keep us posted.
