drug allergy blood test results

When blood testing for lidocaine allergies the blood needs to be immediatley shipped out for test. The test could come back a false negative due to blood storage and a lesser measure of the true sensitivity but the result would not show a false positve...Is that correct? This is a boso activation test to show the basophil response to a drug with a reference point of 3.7 and the result being 49.0 that should be diagnosed as a drug allergy. Is that correct also?
