Please help with PPD Allergy

I've dyed my hair and my head was extremely itchy. I dyed again after three weeks and it got worse. Now my whole neck, chest and back is full of red ithcy bumps. I've been drinking antihistamine (started with one a day but pharmacist insist that i should drink at least 3 a day). He said it will be hard to get rid of aftereffects of allergy (is it true?) Should it still be as itchy after a whole month? My face started to get little red itchy bumps all over chin area and is spreading over whole face. I apply cortizone creme on, but doesnt work for long. I am itching from head to back. this definite symptoms of PPD allergy? Please can you help?

Thank u for your reply. I've heard that i can use Henna dye, but not Black Henna dye. Apparently the browns doesnt have PPD in?

The itching could last up to 6 weeks or more...so your doctor is correct.
I would suggest staying away from the hair dyes in the future.
