I wasnt sure what to put this under but I am 19 and have been experiencing itchy legs after the showers for a few years now. It wasnt until about a year ago that I started feeling like I couldnt stand. It feels like I am about to collapse because my muscles are so weak. Its also starting to occur on my arms as well. PLEASE help! Anyone! =D

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Some of the important causes of muscle spasms are overextension of the muscles, overweight, prolonged standing during the day, dehydration, alterations in the balance of salts in the bloodstream (such as a high or low calcium, sodium or potassium level),neuropathy(esp in diabetes),hypothyroidism, peripheral vascular disease, nerve compression, and multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy or stroke.

Some of these causes like dehydration, being overweight, alcohol intake and prolonged standing are modifiable by efforts of the patient.
My advise is to consult a physician and rule out the above medical conditions by thorough investigations as without physical examination and investigations, pinpointing a diagnosis is tough.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
