Hi,
How are you?Prolonged nasal congestion may be caused by sinus infection or even allergic reaction. Over-the-counter decongestants or antihistamine medications may help provide relief. Due to the fragile blood vessels in the nose, epistaxis or nose bleed can occur if there is excessive blowing of nose or trauma. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to an ENT specialist. Take care and do keep us posted.

Hi
Hashimotos causes very dry skin and can cause peeling of lips. It is also associated with a number of allergies. Hence though your lip and nose symptoms may not be related, they could both be related to Hashimotos.
Please let me know if there is any thing else. Take care!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Peeling of lips can be due to dryness, dehydration, vitamin deficiencies, contact dermatitis and allergies. You must get an allergy test done, either a skin ***** or RAST, to know what you are allergic to. Contact dermatitis could be due to tooth pastes, moth cleansers, spoons, cups, glasses, food items, etc, basically anything that comes in contact with your lips.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
