rash on my chest, stinging pain inside the chest, swollen stomach

Those are the symptoms. I am not sure though if they are coming from allergy. But it is known statistically 75% of allergy patients has acid reflux. Doctors have not found any link yet. But they know the fact.

I have severe allergy. I have taken several steps to keep some allergic agents away.

1. Wearing mask when I am out.
2. I got rid of carpets in my home. Carpets hold dead skins and dust mites.
3. Cleaned the shower curtain which I noticed had fungi (also known as mold that spread spores in the air)
4. I keep my bed spread in the day so that becomes dry and whip them everyday.

The allergy is getting better.

However.

From chest x-ray, radiologist has found an oval shape irregular spot in my chest. I do not know if it is related to allergy. Right now I am seeing a doctor.

If you had similar problem. Please let me know.  We can discuss together and become benefitted.

Thank you for all the suggessions.

It seems that I have recovered completely. No more stinging in the chest. No dubious symptoms were noticed for the last two weeks. Everything is normal. I have been going to gymnasium at least five days a week for the last six weeks. It has helped a lot I think.

I am still wearing the mask, but only when I am out for a prolonged time.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Has an ECG been done? Does the pain radiate to any site? Where is the pain site?

You should take your anti reflux medications for a few days and see if it helps with your symptoms. Be regular in your diet schedule too.

The chances that this is due to asthma are very less.

You could get a pulmonary function test if your doctor advises.

Do consult your doctor is the symptoms persist, and do et an ECG done.

Let us know about how you are doing and what your doctor advises.

Regards.

Hello

Thank you for the suggession. Really appreciate.

I got the CT scan report:

Technique: Non-contrasted CT the thorax

Findings: No focal air space opacities. A small 2 mm pulmonary nodule in the right upper lobe is probably inflammatory give patient's age. No pleural effusion. No enlarged mediastinal or hilar lymph nodes. No thoracic aortic aneursm. No pericardial effusion.

Impression: Nonclacified pulmonary nodule in the right middle lobe. This is likely inflammatory given this patient's age, however if there are significant risk for pulmonary neoplasm, a precautionary followup in 12 months recommended to document benignity.

That was the report. That was good. I will follow up with the nodule in the right lobe. I am doing better. But I fear that I have developed asthma. Yesterday when I laughed a little bit louder I felt stinging pain which I had to appease with short breaths. It stayed 1 to 1.5 minutes. I still have the stinging pain in my chest occuring 4/5 times a week. It stays 3/4 seconds each time.

So far I have not seen a doctor for this symptom since I have noticed that I am imrpoving. Do you think I should see a doctor? I want to avoid medicine if possible.

Thank you.

Hi,

You should wait for the CT reports to come - do get a copy of the report for yourself and post it to us here too. Discuss the report with your doctor also.

The lesion on xray could be due to several causes and a CT would help to rule out some of them.

You should take a antinausea anti reflux combination preferably for your symptoms - esmoprazole - domperidone; or pantoprazole- domperidone.

Are you on any antihistamine medications for your allergies?

Do keep us posted and let us know about how you are doing.

Regards.

I am 35. I have acidity problem for 18 months now. It comes back when my eating habits become irregular. Currently I have it for a week. I am taking zantac.

Since start of the spring (10 weeks back from now) initially I had watery, itchy eyes and runny nose. After a week I started throwing white mucus two three times at night. The mucus turned to brown/yellow cough over time. A week back I observed granular white substances in the throw. All these have gone immediately after I started using mask and cleaning house.

I am allergic to pollen for the last three years now. Do not know what kind of pollen. I am living in Knoxville, TN. I am not sure if I am allergic to others like dust mites or molds.

In addition to stinging, I am experiencing a little burning inside the chest.  I do not have cough now; if I cough intentionally I can hear a whoozing sound and feel a obnoxious smell coming out of my throat.

X-ray report:

*****Findings: The patient has irregular focal density in the left lower lung medially that could be inflammatory or neoplastic. The heart size and vascularity are normal, and there is no pleural fluid. The right lung is clear. There is mild localized partial eventration of the left hemidiaphragm.
*****Impression: Oval irregular density at the left lung base, indeterminate for inflammatory vs. neoplastic vs. fibrotic disease. Comparison studies are not available and CT of the chest is suggested for further evaluation.
*****Recommend: Schedule CT of chest to evaluate chest x-ray findings.

That was the x-ray report.

I have done CT scan. I will get the report soon. I am not worried about the allergy, but about the x-ray. I do not know if the oval irregular density is from cough or from tumour.

Could you post us the chest xray report?

What is your age and what other symptoms do you have?

Are you allergic to any specific substances? Have you had allergic reactions in the past?

Let us know what your doctor advises and post us if you have any doubts.
