Hi,
It really depends on several factors such as the extent of your hives. That is why it is important that direct clinical evaluation is done. It is difficult to give a suitable advice without actually seeing a patient. If it is mild and can be easily managed, going to the gym may be continued but with antihistamine medications. However, if the symptoms persist, you may need to stop it all together. I really recommend that you try to identify the possible triggers so that you could avoid them and see your attending for proper assessment. Best regards.

Hi,
How are you? Hives are often due to an allergic reaction to food or medicine and can be triggered by animal dander, insect bites, pollen, stress, extreme cold or sun exposure, excessive perspiration and underlying illnesses. Treatment may not be needed if the hives are mild because they often disappear on their own. To reduce itching and swelling, over-the-counter antihistamine medications may help. Avoid hot baths or showers and avoid irritating the area with tight-fitting clothing. If it persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
