skin allergy

Hi,

20 days back I suffered with a fever  in night times . and in the morning after I finished my bath it seems I have some burning like sensations on my face n body ..(especially on my face ). After going to work place also , for 2-3 days I got itchings on my hands and legs . Ofcourse these itchings didint cause anything except a small rash only at one place ( near  top of the shoulder) and disapperead after 3 - 4 hours.

I observed a small red bump and bump with white head  and  only one  ring worm like thing which is white in color , which causes no itchings.

Other symptoms am having are headche, fever  which are note severe . After consulting doctor , he told that  am suffering from TYPHOID fever... now am okk...Is  it true that those symptoms says that  am with TYPHOIDADL FEVER or not....

please do replyyyyyyy

Hi, welcome to the forum, yes, the symptoms you have mentioned can be seen in typhoid fever. This can be confirmed by a test known as widal test which shows the raised titres of typhoid antigen. The skin manifestations can also be seen with allergic dermatitis but the fever and headache doesn't fit in the diagnosis.

After the confirmation of the typhoid, ensure complete antibiotic therapy to prevent the relapse in the future. After the start of the therapy the fever and skin manifestations with start reducing. I suggest you to consult physician. Take care and regards.

Hi, typhoid in its active phase can be associated with the fever. You also need to take anti histamines against prescription which will help to relieve itching. Headache can be stress related and as such it is not associated directly to either condition. OTC Pain killers are sufficient. Do not worry; it will come down. Nice to hear from you. Keep posted.

Hi, The O agglutinins are first to appear. A positive Widal test is based on a fourfold rise in O agglutinins in repeated tests or a titre of > 1:160. Hence in your case, you are positive for typhoid fever. You are going through the skin manifestations of typhoid and there can be associated allergy to certain allergen or the antibiotics. Take complete course of the antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor and continue with anti histaminics against prescription. Take care and regards.
