I am a 21 year old male with coming from a family with healthy hair(both sides). I have always run my hands through my hair just kind of as a nervous thing. About 2 weeks ago i noticed when I ran my hands through a certain area of my head large amounts of hair would come out. I now have a bald spot in that area. Could this be from alopecia areata?
