Bipolar disorder

This is my first question, so im not sure if I am asking in the right place, so bear with me. I am bipolar and have just come from inpatient hospitalization due to suicidal ideiations and clinical depression. When I was released I went to outpatient group therapy. I have been on prescription medication for years. I have never found "the magic fix". Nothing seems to work as well as I want it to.  I've been thinking about trying some alternative medications for a while but I don't know what to try. I want to feel better. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Oh, and it needs to be approved for teens due to the fact that I'm 16. Thanks!

Here are some techniques to calm down the mind ease the bipolar effects.
Do this pranayam with concentration and eyes closed twice a day. Record whatever you notice in yourself. Let me know your progress after 4 weeks or whenever you want to.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.

Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close little flap of ears with thumb, place  index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Repeat this  5 to 21 times.

Let me add, there is new research going on with glutamate receptors.  There is one member of the depression forum who claims to have been cured of schizophrenia with an experimental treatment.

There is a depression forum.  You sound as if you're truly bipolar, as opposed to one of the new-fangled and phony bipolar characterizations, such as bipolar 2 and the like.  If you're truly bipolar, there is no cure we know of.  There are psychiatrists who treat the whole person and will check for other possible problems, such as hormonal problems and sugar imbalances, but they tend to be expensive and not affiliated with insurance companies.  Some call themselves functional physicians.  Although there are natural remedies used for depression and anxiety, they are not as strong as meds, which is often good but as far as I know, there is no natural remedy for true bipolar.
