You cannot join doctors forums just to add.

I join communities when i answer a question in that community.  I have also joined a couple of communities from other medhelp member pages from their list of communities they have joined. You don't need to ask a question to join a community. The forum at the top of the medhelp page lists the many patient and doctor forums available. The shortcuts link is an easy way to access the communities you have joined. :)
