Wheatgrass for Weight Loss & Thyroid Support?

I am attempting to add wheatgrass shots to my daily routine for general well being. I am currently dealing with some thyroid issues again, after several years of good health. (waiting for a referral to my wonderful endocrinologist who is in high demand!) I have Graves Disease, but recently gained a lot of weight after a miscarriage, despite normal diet/activity levels. (In the past I struggled to keep my weight up, not down!) It will probably be a few weeks before I can get into my doctor, but in the mean time, I am exercising as much as I can (very fatigued, breathless, and depressed, so it's hard!)

Has anyone else found wheatgrass shots to be effective in assisting with weight loss or thyroid support? I will continue them regardless, because of the other benefits, but I'm feeling rather down today (more so than usual) and looking to hear some success stories.

Wheatgrass is great stuff and might give you some energy, but it isn't going to affect your thyroid directly or affect your weight directly.  It will only help in that it might improve your immune system (very liver protective) and give you more energy (lots of nutrients, B12, and chlorophyll, which has a similar chemical structure to hemoglobin and should in that way improve your overall health without directly boosting your immune system, which would be risky when you have an autoimmune disorder such as Graves.  It's also safer as an intense green food than seaweed, because while it doesn't have the minerals seaweed has it also doesn't have the iodine, which you don't want with a hyperthyroid condition.  If it gives you a boost of energy to help you exercise a bit more, than that's how it'll help with weight loss, or if you're substituting it for something that would add weight.
