healing a bone bruise with alternative modalities?

Hello. I hit my inner ankle bone against the bed post 3+ months ago and the MRI diagnosed a bone bruise. I have consulted podiatrists and orthopedic doctors and their advice for treatment is conflicting, but generally of the conclusion that there is no treatment, nor any idea how long it will take to heal. I am still limping and in strong pain all day long every day. One doc says to stay off the foot. One says to exercise mildly. One says to do PT exercises. One says to immobilize in a pneumatic walking boot, one says to use an ankle brace. all have been unsuccessful. Has anyone recovered from a bone bruise? If so, did you use alternative medicine like Chinese herb soaks? Thank you very much.

Sometimes a homeopathic remedy called arnica montana speeds healing, but usually it's best to use it right away.  But it can't hurt.  I'd try a 6 or 30C dosage.  Comfrey is an herb used to speed healing of bone tissue, but you need to know how to use it -- it has some contraindications.  I also think Gym's idea of ice probably isn't too late, as it's still bothering you, so it might help.  But it is odd that a bone bruise from such a minor incident is still bothering you that much -- I'm sure you're sure nothing's broken by now, but that's a long time.  But that's life.  You might want to consult a naturopath or practitioner of integrated medicine, they might have some ideas of getting healing modalities to the area by using DMSO or something else that gets it to the spot.  You might also try acupuncture.  I'd think that the length of time this is lasting would indicate inflammation blocking healing nutrients from getting there, there are many natural anti-inflammatories that might help clear that up.  I'd think there are lots of avenues out there for you to pursue outside of the allopathic medical establishment.

I forgot to mention use vitamins K, C and A and bromelain to help fight infection, promote bone growth and support the immune system and speed recovery.

It can take up to a year to heal! What you should have done when it happened
was to make an ice cup. You take an Styrofoam cup filled with water and freeze it. then you peel off the top of the cup and hold the cup by the styrofoam and place the ice against the bruise for about 5 minutes a few times
per day to help decrease the swelling. My opinion I think they should have
done microcurrent therapy. It's a small pulsating current of electricity delivered to the body. The theory is that external application of microcurrent will increase the production of ATP, ion exchange, absorption of nutrients, elimination of waste products, protein synthesis and oxygenation. All these processes work toward decreasing the time required for healing.
