Hi mingus78 and welcome to the forum.

As Sarah mentioned the information you have provided, is far too little.
The brain and the CNS are of astronomical complexity.
.
In brain degenerative diseases grey matter is decreased in size or/and damaged, however, the extremely diverse etiology , complexity and the large number of these diseases, does not allow for speculation, given the
lack of detailed MRI findings, symptoms and patient history.

Studies show is that EPA has an extraordinary effect on the brain's ability to re-generate nerve cells and therefore improve brain function in all areas.
This could be considered for immediate implementation along with supplementation of MCTs by consuming virgin organic cocnut oil.
It has  been established that ketones from MCTs are the principal alternative fuel for the brain, when the brain's primary energy source (glucose) is unavailable or in short supply, as they can cross the blood-brain barrier.
So while waiting for further investigation and possible treatment,
consider looking into the above suggestion, which will not interfere with anything at all and considered safe at the recommended dosage of
1000 mg EPA from quality sources and 3-4 Tablespoons of Virgin Organic Coconut Oil daily.
May need to increase the latter dosage substantially, should there indeed be an impairment in glucose supply and delivery to the brain.

Please do your own research or consult a holistic health care professional
experienced in this field.
You may post here again with more details or you can PM me any time.

Take care.
Niko

with as little as you have told us, your neurologist is going to have to interpret this for you.  We are only MS patients helping each other.  Perhaps if you gave us more information from the MRI report.
