Is this Dementia or form of Alzheimers

Atrophy is noted with prominence of the sulci, sylvian fissures and ventricles along with periventricular and centrum semiovale areas of high signal intensity from chronic deep white matter ischemic changes. There are no masses, mass effects or midline shifts.Diffusion-weighted images show no evidence of areas of restricted diffusion.

Can you explain what this means??

Is this a form of dementia or Alzheimers???

Thank You

He has short term memory loss, but also forgets alot of things which has become progressive, he has become aggressive, confrontational, verbally abusive. He seems to want to argue with everyone he comes in contact with. We've been married 22 years and he was not at all like this back then. He's now 71 I'm 57.

Hi,

How are you?
The findings are suggestive of cerebral atrophy. There can be many causes of cerebral atrophy like stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, infectious diseases, multiple sclerosis and leukodystrophies.
A clinical correlation with symptoms is important to make the exact diagnosis.
What symptoms do you have?
Dementia is characterized by progressive memory impairment and intellectual dysfunctions. Memory, orientation, ability to plan and organize is also impaired.
