agressive dementia

my husband has dementia and hear failure.he gets very agitated also has sundown syndrome. he wants to go to the hospital or docs every day. has tons of medical complaints . will not give keys up to car and doc told him  to let me drive. im afraid of accident and gets so agressive he scares me. he keeps saying take me to hosp or ill drive myself and he hasthis thing about bowel movements says hasnt gone for weeks and he just went yesterday. cant convinse him he went. i cant take him on that reason. take articept and calm down pills zanex and sundown med . anything i can do . love sugestions . what can i do?

I feel so sorry for you. I think that this is too much for you to have to handle on your own and you need help and respite for your own health. You will need to get in a carer either a relative or a professional. And admission to a specialist nursing or rest home may not be too far away.

thank you .i know your right but after 55 yrs of marriage its hard to let him go to nursing home, he hates them. he,s 85 and im 76 . i will have to make decisions soon.
