Big toe numbness every morning...

Every morning for the past 6 to 8 months when I get up in the morning my left big toe seems to stay asleep for at least an hour. I naturally walk with my big toe held up. It's very annoying & Uncomfortable. What could be the reason for this?

Hi!
Numbness of big toe can be due to pinched nerve, poor circulation, faulty foot wear, diabetic neuropathy, leprosy, nerve injury, multiple sclerosis and frost bite. This needs to be investigated before a final cause can be pin pointed. Meanwhile, change the position and the bedding you sleep in and see if helps. You can also use a heating pad for your lower back. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
