Havanese need for you help!

My dog falled down from a chair in April 2010 and for a hour he couldn't move. After that he could walk but a lot of pain and difficulties in walking started. He had pains and fever and trembling, that's why on 22 of May 2010 we went to the doctor and he was diagnosed with Babesia. He got well after the disease but still with the pains in the paws, walk difficulties, isolation. The fever - 39.5 - 40.4 was present almost all the time. During all this time I went with him to a lot of doctors. They didn't find a diagnosis but treat the poor dog with a lot of medicine. He took: Cefort, Clyndamicine, Ronaxan (20 days), Vitamins B1, B6, B12, Nutriflex, Rymadil, Prednison (14 days and after a break another 7 days), Imizol vaccin for Babesia, Alflutop, Milgamma, Omega 3 and other.
He had a treatment with 7 infiltrations, Polidin and Moldamin. When in pain, almost daily, he tremble, the muscular mass is reduced very much and I give him Novocalmin. The fever decrease.
Well, after so many many months of suffering yesterday I had a diagnostic: he got infection with Erlichia and he started the treatment with Ronaxan.
My question is: is possible to have such a fever and pains in articulations (big pains, he screams by night) because of Erlichia?
I am sure I didn't give all the info but please feel free to ask me more, I am so desperate. My beautiful dog is in pain for too many months and I don't know what to do.

Thanks a lot. Is possible that the pains, severe pains he's got on articulations, to be from the Erlichia infection?

Normally Erlichia canis infections in dogs are easily treated with the antibiotic doxycycline given twice a day for 3 weeks.
