Seizures

My 9 year old Bullmastiff has been living with cancer for at least a year and a half.  It was discovered via a large tumor in his lung.  We had it removed and began him on chemo.  He was given 3 months to live.  Approx. 18 months have passed since.
10 days ago he suffered his first seizure.  Grand Mal.  Foaming, convulsing, urinating on himself... choking.  I brought him to the vet the next day.  They took blood, but didn't see anything.  I can't afford the other diagnostic tests.
His second seizure came last week, then last night at 2am, then Noon today, then 4:30 pm & 6:30pm.  
My vet called in a prescription earlier, and my dog received the first dose at 5pm.
At this rate I believe I am faced with putting him down very soon.  Please share any info that may help.

Thank you for your prompt response.

It appears the Meds are helping, thankfully.  But with the seizures supressed, what might I expect next as a result of a brain tumor?

The seizures may be independent of the  initial cancer but a new mass in his brain.
I would just take it day by day and see if the seizure meds help him.Sometimes prednisone can help with edema of the brain and can reduce seizure activity.
