holistic help!!!!!

My 9 year old black lab may have another UTI. I have no funds to take her in to get checked but i whole-heartedly believe in holistic healing. Anyone know of something natural for uti's? Her main symptom is accidents where she's been. She's an inside dog and thus its easy to keep track of where she's been, I just have to follow the puddloes. Thanks in advance

Yes, she is spayed and licks her vagina constantly. I think she's trying to "catch" what leaks out. Its very frustrating cuz she's having accidents everywhere. When I took her in for her yearly exam and shots in jan, she checked fine and didn't have this problem then. I had major back surgery and have been out of work and unable to save for any unforeseen problems with Skippi. I am currently looking for a new line of work that I can handle better and as such, her medical treatment for this will be delayed for a couple months longer. Thank u for ur reply. When I get the funds, I will have her checked for both things!!

Hi-It is important to differentiate between a urinary tract infection and urinary incontinence which is a another common cause of "accidents" in older spayed female dogs leeking urine. Broad spectrum antibiotics like Baytril and Orbax are effective for many canine urinary infections and your vet will be able to best help with this. Completely different medications are needed to treat urinary incontinence such as estrogen supplements or products like Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which is also labelled as Proin.
Thank you
