horse worm

What type of worm would a hors that has been wormed pass that is verry short (about 3/4" long) fat and bright pink, a tappered bdy, one blunt end and one pointed end, and has some type of feelers on the pointed end, presumably for movement?  Thank you very much.  I like to be as informed as possible.  My mare passed one of theese and I don't know if she should pass several or not to be safe from them or if they are normaly just one to host.  Although, I don't know if that's all that she passed, just what I did see when I seen her pooh.

It is probably Oxyuris equi which is the equine pin worm.  It is probably time to deworm again.  Take a sample to your vet for definitive diagnosis and for proper treatment.

How long has it been since the horse was treated/wormed and which medication was used? There are different meds, some are more effective than others depending on the parasite involved.
