westie throwing up bile

My little westie, approx. 10 years old has recently starting throwing up bile.  I spoke to the vet and he feels it is allergies and she is due to come in for her first ever allergy shot.  However the vet is out of town till Thur. and now she is not eating, but drinking what seems like quite a bit of water and then throwing it up.  What can I do to make her more comfortale for now?  I did give her 1/2 of Cimetidine (doggie Pepcid) just a few minutes ago.

I am so glad of the successful outcome and I am sorry that your poor dog had to suffer for a couple of days.  But you did the right thing taking her to another vet hospital!

She came through with flying colors!  They found a peach pitt (probably left out by my 4 yr old) in the upper part of her intestines.  Fortunately it hadn't been there long enough to puncture or damage the intestine so all they had to do was cut a slit in it and remove the pitt then sew her back up.  It could've been much worse!  My prayers were answered.  She gets to come home in a couple of days....

FYI, if this happens to anyone else reading this, take your animal to the nearest vet hospital immediately!  The fecal vomiting is a serious indicator of a blockage which my dog did in fact have an obstruction and was quickly becoming dehydrated and her waste was starting to come out the other end since it couldn't pass through her bowels.  She's having surgery today to cut out the obstructed part and to reattach the intestines.  I'm praying she comes through and recovers fully.

She's still throwing up some through the day (and not eating).  This time it was like a brown liquid and smelled VERY strongly of feces.  What could this be?  She drank some water afterwards and I'm watching her to see if it stays down.
